The Vision
Welcome to the latest SpeedEFX project showcase where we transform already amazing vehicles into automotive masterpieces. This time, we had the opportunity to work on a fantastic 2017 Audi R8, turning it into a head-turning beauty, fitting it with a host of aesthetic and performance upgrades.
The owner of this R8 wanted a unique, stylish look that maintained the aggressive, sporty demeanor of the Audi. Our goal was to create a vehicle that stood out, not just in design but also in performance.
The Transformation Begins
Vossen Three Piece MX-3 Wheels
The highlight of this project was fitting the Audi R8 with a stunning set of Vossen Three Piece MX-3 Wheels. These wheels’ beauty lies in the details – a gorgeous anodized blue barrel, a gloss black lip, and a satin black face. The result was a dramatic contrast with the R8’s body, making a bold statement while maintaining a clean, elegant look.
Lowered and Ready
Ohlin TTX Pro Coilovers
In order to enhance the car’s performance and stance, we lowered the R8 with Ohlin TTX Pro coil overs. These top-of-the-line components are known for providing excellent handling and ride quality, without compromising the comfort that luxury vehicles like the R8 are known for. The lower, more aggressive stance perfectly complements the new Vossen Wheels, creating a sleek, ground-hugging profile.
Protection First
Xpel Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film
A vehicle of this caliber deserves the highest level of protection. We applied Xpel Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film to shield the car’s paintwork from chips, scratches, and swirl marks, ensuring the R8 will maintain its lustrous appearance for years to come.
Final Touch – Ceramic Coating
To top it all off and further preserve the paintwork, we finished the project with a layer of Ceramic Coating. This not only enhances the car’s glossy appearance but also provides an additional layer of protection against dirt, grime, and UV damage. The Ceramic Coating will keep the R8 looking freshly detailed with minimal maintenance.
The Final Outcome
The result was a sight to behold. The anodized blue barrel of the Vossen Wheels shimmered beautifully against the car’s color, complemented by the gloss black lip and satin black face. The lowered stance gave the R8 an aggressive look, while the shiny ceramic-coated exterior promised long-lasting gloss and protection.
This project was a perfect illustration of SpeedEFX’s commitment to transforming vehicles into customized pieces of art. Every detail, from the choice of wheels to the protective finishes, was meticulously chosen and applied to create an Audi R8 that’s truly one-of-a-kind.
