The Vision
When it comes to luxury, few brands can compete with Rolls Royce. Synonymous with opulence and refinement, a Rolls Royce is more than just a car; it’s a statement. But even within this realm of excellence, there’s room for individuality. At SpeedEFX, we had the pleasure of adding our personal touch to a Rolls Royce Ghost, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Our client wanted to bring a fresh, bold perspective to their Ghost. Their vision was to create a seamless blend of sophistication and modern style. We were intrigued by the challenge and eager to make it happen.
The transformation began with a full color change vinyl wrap. For this project, we chose Platinum Wrapping Film (PWF) in Future Military, a color that embodies the spirit of modernity and boldness. This unique wrap brings together two different finishes – the top half of the car in satin and the bottom half in gloss.
Achieving this two-tone look required a particular process. The Future Military wrap comes from the factory as a matte finish film, so to accomplish the desired effect, part of the film was laminated with a gloss laminate. The result was a striking contrast between the satin and gloss finishes, adding an unparalleled depth to the vehicle’s aesthetic.
Next, we performed a complete chrome delete on the Rolls Royce, wrapping many of the chrome pieces in the Future Military color. This included meticulously disassembling and wrapping the front grille, window trim pieces, taillight bezels, RR side marker badges, and door handles. The elimination of chrome pieces further accentuated the Future Military color, resulting in a cohesive, modern look.
As always, we wanted to ensure this beauty remains protected. Once the transformation was complete, we applied a ceramic coating to the entire vehicle. This top-of-the-line protective layer helps maintain the vibrancy of the wrap and makes the vehicle easier to clean.
The finished product is a Rolls Royce Ghost that stands apart from the crowd. Its unique color and the two-tone finish blend seamlessly, creating a car that’s at once timeless and forward-thinking. This project was more than just a car transformation; it was about creating an experience. It’s proof that even the most luxurious of cars can be transformed to reflect the owner’s personal style.
