The Vision
At SpeedEFX, we are continuously exploring the frontier of vehicle transformation, and our latest project, a McLaren GT, is a shining example of this. As one of the most revered names in the supercar industry, a McLaren GT naturally exudes style and power. But our client wanted to add an extra layer of uniqueness to his machine. The mission: a full color change wrap that would take this GT to a whole new level of panache.
The color of choice for this project was Matte Anodized Blue – a color that is as striking as it is sophisticated. This wrap not only adds a new aesthetic to the car but also serves as a protective layer, guarding the original paint against the elements.
What set this project apart was the meticulous attention to detail during the installation process. We not only wrapped the exterior of the McLaren but also ventured into an area that’s often overlooked – the doorjambs. Wrapping inside the doorjambs of both the body and the doors themselves is a demanding task that requires a deep understanding of vehicle construction and high attention to detail.
The process involved separating the inner door card from the McLaren’s door. This level of disassembly allowed us to ensure a seamless look when the doors are open, enhancing the visual continuity of the wrap. To complement the Matte Anodized Blue, we also used textured carbon fiber for some of the doorjambs, adding an extra touch of refinement to the finish.
Achieving such detailed and precision-focused wrapping requires meticulous planning, skilled hands, and a lot of patience. But at SpeedEFX, we believe in leaving no stone unturned when it comes to achieving the best results for our clients.
Once all the wrapping was done, it was time to add the final touch: a ceramic coating. This coating serves multiple purposes – it enhances the matte finish of the wrap, protects it from potential damage, and makes cleaning the car easier.
The end result was a McLaren GT that looked nothing short of spectacular. Its Matte Anodized Blue and textured carbon fiber accents stood as a testament to our commitment to quality and precision at SpeedEFX.
