Hello, SpeedEFX family and car enthusiasts! Let us take you behind the scenes of one of our latest projects – a thrilling endeavor involving a Lamborghini Huracan STO. This wasn’t just any tuning or wrap job; it was a complete winterization process for a car that’s usually synonymous with sun and speed, not snow and ice!
From Black to Satin White: A Wrap Like No Other
The Huracan STO came to us in its original sleek black paint, but our client had something different in mind – a total transformation to satin white. Wrapping an entire car, especially a supercar like the Huracan STO, is an art. This job was particularly challenging due to the car’s large one-piece hood and its plethora of extreme angles. Every fold, curve, and edge had to be meticulously covered, ensuring a flawless finish that looked like it came straight out of the factory.
Doubling Down on Protection: XPEL Stealth PPF
To safeguard the new satin white wrap, we applied XPEL Stealth Paint Protection Film. This film not only protects the wrap from potential rock chips but also adds a subtle satin finish, enhancing the car’s new look. It’s like a suit of armor, but for a car!
Adding Some Carbon Flair: Vorsteiner Parts Meet Stealth PPF
We also installed some sleek Vorsteiner carbon fiber parts, giving the Huracan STO an even more aggressive and unique appearance. Of course, these parts too received the XPEL Stealth PPF treatment. We can’t let those beautiful carbon pieces go unprotected, especially with what we had planned next.
Winter Ready: BC Forged Wheels and Snow Tires
Here’s where things get really interesting. Our client plans to drive this Huracan STO in the snow! To prep for this, we swapped out the factory magnesium wheels for a set of robust BC Forged wheels. Wrapped in high-quality winter tires, this setup ensures that this supercar can handle winter roads while keeping the original wheels safe from the harsh elements.
Finishing Touches: Full Ceramic Coating
To top off this project, we applied a full ceramic coating to the entire car, including those new wheels. This layer not only adds an extra shine but also makes cleaning the car much easier. Think of it as a shield against stains, dirt, and grime.
