Hello, SpeedEFX enthusiasts and fellow car lovers! A client recently brought us his Ferrari FF, initially dressed in a classic gloss black factory paint. His request? To turn his prized ride into a showstopper with a pearlescent red color known as Toxic Apple from PWF (Platinum Wrapping Film). This project was a journey of meticulous craftsmanship, blending aesthetics and protection to create a true masterpiece on wheels.
Step 1: The Color Change Wrap – A Vibrant New Look
The journey began with the full color change vinyl wrap. Choosing PWF Toxic Apple wasn’t just about changing color; it was about adding personality and flair to the Ferrari. This pearlescent red is not just any red; it has depth, character, and an almost hypnotic appeal.
Wrapping a car like the Ferrari FF is no small feat. It involves stripping down the parts, ensuring the surface is impeccably clean, and then, with precision and patience, applying the vinyl wrap. The process is akin to a meticulous art form, requiring steady hands and a keen eye to ensure every inch of the vehicle is covered, and the result is seamless.
Step 2: Window Tinting – Adding Style and Comfort
Next up was the window tinting. For this, we used a high-quality ceramic tint, which does more than just augment the car’s style. This tint blocks harmful UV rays, reduces heat build-up inside the car, and protects the interior from fading. Applying window tint requires attention to detail, ensuring no air bubbles or misalignments, for that perfect, sleek look.
Step 3: Paint Protection Film (PPF) – Shielding the Beauty
Once the wrap was complete, it was time to protect it. We applied XPEL Ultimate Plus Paint Protection Film to the full front end, which includes the bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors. This clear bra acts as a shield against rock chips, road debris, and minor abrasions, ensuring the Toxic Apple wrap remains pristine. The application of PPF is a delicate process, needing precise alignment and careful handling to ensure full coverage without compromising the wrap’s appearance.
Step 4: Black Accents – Elevating the Aesthetics
Our client wanted to add more depth to the car’s look, so we painted the vents around the vehicle black and wrapped the roof in black as well. These black accents provided a stunning contrast to the Toxic Apple wrap, enhancing the car’s aggressive lines and adding a unique touch to its overall appearance.
Step 5: Ceramic Coating – The Final Armor
To top off this extensive project, we applied a full ceramic coating to the Ferrari. This coating is the final armor, protecting both the wrap and the paint underneath. It makes cleaning the car much easier, as dirt and grime have a harder time sticking to the surface, and adds an additional layer of gloss to the already stunning finish.
