The Vision
Our recent project at SpeedEFX is an exceptional showcase of our love for creating bespoke vehicle transformations. An impressive Ram TRX roared into our shop, its owner carrying a vision for a design unlike anything we’d done before – a custom full-color change wrap embodying the sophisticated look of marble, complete with a matte finish.
The request was extraordinary and fascinating. The complexity of marble, with its intricate patterns and unique color variations, isn’t something you’d typically see on the road. However, at SpeedEFX, we don’t shy away from challenges; we embrace them.
Our first step was to design the marble pattern, an intricate process that required careful attention to detail. Marble’s natural flow and nuanced color shifts needed to be captured authentically in our design to achieve a realistic representation. Using our state-of-the-art software and drawing upon our extensive design experience, we began to craft the digital equivalent of this elegant natural stone.
Once the design phase was complete, it was time for in-house printing. This phase was crucial in transforming our digital blueprint into a tangible vinyl wrap. We meticulously monitored the print process to ensure color fidelity, making sure that our digital marble design transferred seamlessly onto the wrap, retaining its intricate detailing and color variation.
With the wrap now bearing the exquisite marble pattern, we proceeded to laminate it with a matte finish. This final touch muted the natural gloss of the marble design, adding an extra layer of sophistication and a unique aesthetic touch. The result was a wrap that combined the luxury of marble with the understated elegance of a matte finish, a combination that exuded both power and refinement.
The installation process was undertaken with utmost precision, ensuring every contour of the Ram TRX was hugged tightly by the new marble skin. The transformation was remarkable, turning an already standout vehicle into a moving piece of art.
Finally, to preserve the beauty of this unique work, we completed the project with a ceramic coating. This step not only protects the wrap from environmental elements but also enhances the overall aesthetic, keeping the marble pattern pristine and the matte finish consistently elegant.
